EXTENSION IN A CHESHIRE CONSERVATION AREA
Here we helped our client gain planning permission in a sensitive Conservation Area in Bowdon in Cheshire. The owner sought a single storey rear extension to create a larger kitchen/dining area with a sun room. All of this opening out through an expanse of bi-fold doors onto a raised level access decking overlooking the garden.
An existing external access to the basement also needed to be retained, so a carefully designed corridor running under the proposed was created.

This substantial Victorian house is set in a conservation area, so careful consideration was given to the character of the existing property as well as the surrounding houses in the area.
After attending site meetings and lengthy discussions with the planners about the scale and feel of our client’s proposal, planning permission was granted.
