Here our client had just purchase a 4 bedroom detached house with a layout they weren't happy with. In particular, the Kitchen was small and old fashioned, and 2 of the bedrooms were very small. By designing a two storey extension to the rear, we able to create 2 new master sized bedrooms with with 2 ensuites. To the Ground Floor we expanded the living space with a open plan Kitchen/Dining area and large Sun Room. A new Play Room and Utility Room/Cloak Room was also integrated into the existing spaces.
As the front of the property felt dated and the entrance awkward, we created a more traditional feel with a pitched roof canopy and gabled porch entrance.
